Yes we know how awesome the new features of Minecraft 1.5.2 are, and how eager our users will be to get the server updated to 1.5.2, to get access to the new awesome features!

However updating a server is not as simple as it is for you to update your client. (Unfortunately) So you will have to bear with us a bit until there is a stable (Semi Stable) 1.5.2 version of bukkit out. Oh and that all our server plugins that give you the epic Aceville experience you know and love, are also updated and working!

The question I know you will all have is how long will this take?

Now the answer to this is, well we don’t know (To be honest). As we have to wait on a stableish 1.5.2 server version of bukkit and also for server plugin developers to also update their plugins to work with 1.5.2. However take our word that we will update Aceville as quick as possible to a stable 1.5.2 build!

Keep in mind however if we do have to use a beta build there may be a few server bugs (If we do have to use a beta build there will be a message in red on server login saying so) and again you will have to bear with us and report any issues to us while we are in that beta version period.

Anyway enough of that and hopefully you have got the “DO NOT UPDATE YET!” message. :p

Anyways to the fun stuff, talking about the new 1.5 features!

So what has been added in 1.5?
To answer this I think its just easier to give you the list of updates!

+ Added Redstone Comparator (used in Redstone logic)
+ Added Hopper (collects items and moves them to containers)
+ Added Dropper (similar to Dispensers, but always drops the item)
+ Added Activator Rail (activates TNT Minecarts)
+ Added Daylight Sensor
+ Added Trapped Chest
+ Added Weighed Pressure Plate
+ Added Block of Redstone
+ Added Nether Brick (item)
+ Added Nether Quartz and ore
+ Added Block of Quartz, with half blocks and chiseled variants
+ New command: /scoreboard
+ New command: /effect
+ Containers and mobs can have custom names
* Inventory management has been changed, for example you can drag-place items over slots
* Texture packs now have separate images for each block and item, and can have animations
* Nether Quartz Ore now spawns in the Nether
* Smooth lighting now has three settings (none, minimal, maximum)
* More detailed death messages
* Some hostile mobs now are harder in Hard difficulty
* Many, many, bug fixes
- Removed Herobrine

Basically a lot of Redstone stuff and awesomeness has been added!

Mob Arena Commands:
• /ma join – Join the mob arena.
• /ma leave – Leave the current arena, or the spectator area.
• /ma notready – Get a list of all players who aren’t ready.
• /ma spectate – Spectate the Mob Arena.
• /ma players – Get a list of all arena players.
